Base and Technical Training
Base season: September to October 31 or the first snow. We meet at Foothills Athletic Park Fieldhouse.

Pre Competition and Competition Season: November to end of March, M, T, TH, F at 5pm Olympic Oval / Wednesday at 5pm in Jack Simpson Track U of C

Summer Training: April to middle of June at Rotary Park track M-F at 5pm, then at Foothills track from middle of June through July, same time.
Program Philosophy
All training has a blend of technical and general conditioning. Athletes will be exposed to many different events regardless of their event specialty. Especially during base training athletes find themselves trying many different events. As athletes get closer to competitions specific training and energy systems adaptation are applied.

Weight training info: Athletes strength train 3 days per week unless during base training or if they are throwers they will train occasionally, independently. This only applies to Senior and Masters athletes. Inexperienced younger athletes will not strength train unless a coach or senior athlete is present.

Speed and Power program works together with the Sprints and Hurdles coach to work in any Jumping events for athletes to get in some technical training.
