Sprint and Hurdles Program
The Spartans Spring and Hurdles Program is for athletes interested in running sprints, hurdles and relays. Events include the 60m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 80m and 400m hurdles as well as 4 x 100m relay, 4 x 200m relay and 4 x 400m relay.
The Sprint and Hurdles coaches build on the fundamentals learned in the Athlete Development Program. Dale and Gabriel focus on working with athletes to set goals, improve technique, train for speed and conditioning and develop mental preparedness for competitions. Practices include conditioning, acceleration development, speed drills, block work and speed endurance.
A weight training facility to build strength is available three times per week.
